A New Chapter: Free FCP Templates!

Hello, Reader, 👋

Last week, I made a big change to my online store.

It used to sell Final Cut Pro Templates, but now, everything is available for free.

You can choose to donate if you want to support the costs of hosting and creating these templates.

Plus, if you like what I make, you can also offer your time and talent to help me out.

I have to say, I was blown away by the support you all showed when I shared this news!

It was truly touching to see the kind messages and support coming in. I even had emails that gave me tears of joy.

It is not always easy for artists to know if people like what they create.

Yes, selling something is one sign, but hearing your kind words boosted my confidence beyond what you could imagine.

The response to my announcement was incredible.

I heard from old friends, new acquaintances, and loyal customers alike.

My biggest worry was that people would be upset about the change, but instead, I received nothing but love and support.

Many of you understood that focusing less on sales and marketing would allow me to concentrate more on creating, which is what I truly love to do.

I am so grateful for every one of you who reached out.

Another fantastic thing happened and I do not know if this is a coincidence, the universe, a higher power, or simply good energy, I was blessed with 3 new clients, the kind of clients we all love working with who are fun, down to earth, and happy people.

Client work, I believe is very important when creating new templates.

When I first launched the store as a side hustle, I created templates for my client's projects to help save me time.

It was a perfect combination, I helped my clients, I solved a challenge and I shared the solution with others.

Yes, I received requests and suggestions, but there is something special about creating something that helps us and then sharing it with the world. Some call this "scratching our own itch."

So, I now have a new burst of energy and enthusiasm for the years ahead. Which was needed.

The next step in the Journey is to further bring down the costs and time spent running my websites.

So I have a couple of plans in the works.

  • Find another way to send newsletters or trim the list to only those who truly want it.
  • Merge MotionMasterTemplates.com with Deyson.com

The second plan is a big undertaking as I have been running both websites for over 14 years.

The reason to combine both websites is that it takes more time, energy, and money to run two websites.

Also, by having everything on one website, I can focus on just one site and offer more.

What I mean by offering more is that I do not just create templates for Final Cut Pro, but I also create templates for almost everything I do and create as I love to save time and money.

Plus, I also want to share everything I have discovered in creating video automation using FFMPEG, a very powerful free tool, that I believe every video creator should look at.

But this is all a work in progress, have research to do, and it will happen slowly, but I will keep you posted along the way.

So to wrap up this email, this is what I learned from the recent experience.

  • There are amazing people in the world.
  • I am truly blessed to be part of your journey.
  • It is important to face our fears and go for it.
  • Sometimes, making a big change is exactly what we need.
  • Doing good brings its own rewards.
  • Simplifying can lead to the biggest boosts in productivity.

Also, before ending this email I want to send a big thank you to my good friend Bret Williams.

Even though we are technically, "Competitors" we have been each other's support system, beta testers, and motivators for a long time.

I highly recommend that everyone become friends with their "Competitors" because you will not find anyone who understands your struggles, ups, downs, hardships, and challenges as those who are on the same journey.

Please be sure to visit Bret's store at BretFX.com and make sure to say hello, he is a great person and also a talented video editor.

Thank you again for being part of my journey. You are all amazing!

If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to reach out.

I read every email and look forward to hearing from you. Your thoughts and ideas are always welcome!

Thank you, and I hope you have a fantastic day! 😊

Hello, Reader, 👋 This article will discuss the importance of treating everyone with genuine respect!I had the opportunity to edit a video for a well-known celebrity many years ago. This person is portrayed on camera as extraordinary, smiling, kind, and lovely. However, behind the scenes, their behavior took a turn for the worse. As soon as the director called " cut, " this person became mean and rude to the crew and the people around them. It became clear that this person struggled to maintain...

Hello, Reader, 👋 Regarding editing, especially for luxury brands, less is always more. The focus should be on the product and the message. It uses simple, subtle graphics, clean transitions like soft cuts and dissolves, and minimal animations. We want to enhance the message, tell a story, and showcase the product without distraction. Keeping the editing style clean and minimalistic allows the audience to engage fully with the luxury brand's offerings. It creates a sense of sophistication and...

Hello, Reader, 👋 A while back, I had an experience with a client that taught me a valuable lesson about communication. The project started smoothly, I was confident in my work and according to the contract, I had fulfilled my promise. However, there was a catch: the raw footage provided by the client was of poor quality. I noticed it but assumed the client knew and I did not mention it. After completing the project, the client was not thrilled with the final result. They felt I should have...
